Welcome to my online resume! I'm currently a full time student majoring in computer science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. I'm passionate about a colorful array of fields including software engineering, web development (hello world!), cyber security, hardware tinkering, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. I may be new to the professional landscape, but I can't wait to find an opportunity to step into the exciting world ahead!

Projects

Resport (Fall 2017 - )
  • Started at Hack NJIT Hackathon (November 2017), currently an ongoing project with the goal of creating a unified research portal website allowing NJIT students and faculty to easily match opportunities, thereby consolidating the process of searching and applying for internal research positions
  • Working with a group of friends, contributions involve security aspects, assisting PHP front-end development, data mining student information to pre-fill profiles, and file hosting on an AWS S3 cloud (like this one!)

Face2Pi (Fall 2017 - )
  • Built a Raspberry Pi 3 powered face detecting camera mounted to dorm room door to detect and cluster similar faces on-the-fly using David Sandberg’s TensorFlow implementation of the FaceNet whitepaper (arXiv:1503.03832), including modifications to email timestamped pictures with bounding boxes using Python and OpenCV
  • Implemented battery-powered PIR motion sensor to trigger camera over Wi-Fi by relaying data over MQTT IoT protocol using Arduino-compatible ESP8266 board

Magspoof (Fall 2017)
  • Implemented Samy Kamkar’s open source design to spoof a magnetic card to readers at relatively long range using a comically overpowered hand-wound electromagnet

Skills

  • Proficiency in Python, C++, HTML, PHP, and mySQL programming languages
  • Experience with theory of data structures, algorithms, and cryptography
  • Proficiency in GNU/Linux and Windows operating systems including scripting
  • Assembled over a dozen computers, ranging from firewalls and network-attached storage to custom modified small form-factor workstations
  • Experience managing server software including VMware ESXI hypervisor, FreeNAS (ZFS on FreeBSD), pfSense, dd-wrt, and OpenVPN
  • Hobbyist-level experience with hardware including Arduino-compatible microcontrollers, hand soldering through-hole and SMD components, solar power, lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, DC motors, and LED lighting

Interests

When I'm AFK I enjoy biking and hiking when it's warm. I also brew small batches of mead (honey wine), and I enjoy cooking whatever I can get my hands on.

When I'm not working on assignments or personal projects I can be found catching up on television shows, messing with my homelab, or generally inundating myself with miscellaneous internetry. I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technolgy advancements in just about everything software and hardware.
